We each have our own ideas of beauty, wether it be eyelashes, bronzer, nails or a simple bath. Either way there is an amazing reward when you find something for a buck that keeps you looking and feeling beautified. When I went through shocking reactions to cancer treatments and surgery, to the point where I couldn't even wear perfume or my skin would go up in flames. There wasn't a cream, potion, lotion or toner I wouldn't try and an even bigger amount of money went into finding out that all I needed was in the kitchen.
Took a lot of convincing, trials and tribulations but I am happy to swear by the natural skin path, like green tea skin toner, apple cider vinegar baths and more. Just trial out a few with what ever is your inner enemy, wether it be bad skin or aching muscles. Find out which ingredient works for you and remember that for centuries the Japanese have believed that your skin is the largest and best organ for detoxification. So here are some tips to find your inner goddess like Cleopatra and relish in your own daily milk bath.
Apple Cider Vinegar Detox Baths
Just add 2 cups of apple cider vinegar to your bath, try and keep the water as warm as your body will accept. If the scent is too much for you to take ( Apple Cider Vinegar can be a little over powering ) just put a few drops of lavender oil in the bath and then your relaxation will follow.
There are a number of benefits to a Apple Cider Vinegar bath not only being a great overall detoxifier and for muscle aches and pains brought on by physical exertion. An Apple Cider Vinegar bath draws excess uric acid out of the body. Uric acid is created when the body breaks down substances called purines in certain foods and drinks. Most uric acid is eliminated via the kidneys in the urine. An Apple Cider Vinegar cleansing bath can provide welcome relief for those with joint problems, arthritis, gout, bursitis, or tendonitis.
Try and stay in the bath until the water has cooled which will be about 45 minutes. Towel dry and don’t shower for at least 8 hours to let the outer body completely absorb everything.
Baking Soda Detox Baths
Once the bath is full to a temperature your body is comfortable then dissolve 4 cups of aluminum free baking soda. This bath is beneficial for exposure to irradiated food, swollen glands, sore throat or soreness of the gums and mouth. It is also beneficial for those with digestive impairment such as the inability to hold food in the stomach comfortably.

Epsom Salts Detox Baths
Put 2 cups of epsom salts in the bath, try and have the temperature of the water comfortably warm but not overly hot. You will only need to soak for at least 15-30 minutes. Rinse, then towel dry.
The scientific name for epsom salt is magnesium sulfate. Magnesium and sulfur are both critical nutrients but surprisingly can be poorly absorbed from our food. Soaking in epsom salts overcomes this problem as these minerals both absorb readily via the skin.
Like myself after getting home from hospital an epsom salt bath is extremely beneficial to expel all the drugs, improve circulation and nerve function.
According to the Epsom Salt Industry Council, a simple soak is beneficial to heart and circulatory health, can lower blood pressure, helps ease muscle pain and eliminates harmful substances from the body. It also improves nerve function by encouraging proper regulation of electrolytes.
You can have an epsom salt bath 2-3 times weekly for general health maintenance or to alleviate the discomfort of bruising and sprains. An epsom salts soak also encourages detoxification of drugs remaining in the body after surgery.
